Coaching vs. Consulting
Coaching is the process of “partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential. The process of coaching often unlocks previously untapped sources of imagination, productivity, and leadership. – International Coaching Federation
Both coaching and consulting have a time and a place. You don’t want a coach to help you navigate an IRS audit. Conversely, a coach is often best to help clients when autonomy, personal/professional growth, and flexibility are preferred. Coaching is also ideal when there isn’t a specific “problem” but instead a desire for greater clarity, focus, and accountability.
